Four San Diego Mesa College SEEDS (STEM Engagement for the Enrichment of Diverse Students program) students presented their research projects at the 2017 Principal Investigator’s Meeting Feb. 16-18 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

San Diego, CA. — In honor of Women’s History Month, the Chicana/o Studies Department at San Diego Mesa College proudly presents the Sixth Annual Gracia Molina de Pick Feminist Lecture Series. Both events are free and open to the public.

Following the grand opening for The Stand Feb. 9, San Diego Mesa College’s new food and clothing pantry has been successful in both collecting donations and helping students on campus.

Designs created by San Diego Mesa College Fashion students and inspired by 1950s style will be in the spotlight during the 2017 Fashion Redux Finale Party at the San Diego History Center on Friday, March 3 at 6 p.m.

San Diego Mesa College will celebrate Women’s History Month with a full schedule of events during the month of March, starting with “Shrink Not From Incessant Error: The Uncomfortable Conversations of Margaret Fuller (1810-1850),” a talk on early American feminism with Jeff Austin on Friday, March 3 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in LRC 435.

An exhibit of work from African American artists and their connection to African Art opened Feb. 9 during a reception and artist lecture as part of the Black History Month activities at San Diego Mesa College.

San Diego, CA ---- On Saturday, February 25th, San Diego Mesa College will be holding its annual “Jumpstart”, a free event for students interested in attending Mesa College where they can visit the campus and learn about the school’s programs and services.

San Diego Mesa College’s Financial Literacy Taskforce is starting a new Financial Literacy Speaker Series for students on campus, starting with a lecture on $mart $pending by Rae Russell on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 11:30 a.m.
