This past week, San Diego Mesa Art Gallery invited author and arts critic Aruna D’Souza to discuss her book, Whitewalling: Art, Race & Protest in 3 Acts. As students filled the room, D’Souza was joined by UC San Diego Professor Nicole Miller to unpack some of the pertinent issues surrounding race and representation, and how they affect art culture.

The San Diego Community College District Police Department is actively supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month with The Pink Patch Project. This campaign, in collaboration with other local law enforcement, is designed to raise public awareness and funding for breast cancer research.

San Diego Mesa College’s Financial Literacy Series is back by popular demand to present students with more exciting speaker events for the fall 2018 semester.

A pilot program allowing 15 California community colleges – including San Diego Mesa College – to offer bachelor’s degrees in critical workforce areas has been extended through July of 2026, thanks to legislation signed into law September 20 by Governor Jerry Brown.

San Diego, CA ---- Today, San Diego Mesa College announced that Taste of Mesa, the popular fundraiser benefiting the Culinary Arts Management Program, will take place on Thursday October 4 at 6:00pm in Culinary Outlook, located in the Mesa Commons. Taste of Mesa is an exciting cooking-show style event that will feature internationally-inspired cuisine, tastings, demonstrations and three cook-off competitions between alumni, students and an advanced baking team. The ticketed event is open to the public.
