The event will take place the Mesa Commons from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The hackathon theme is sustainable living – over 100 students, faculty, staff and community members are expected to participate.

The HIM Program is a continuation of the College’s Health Information Technology (HEIT) Associates Degree program, and provides accessible, high-quality, industry-approved instruction designed to prepare students to work at a management level in a health care setting.

This May, Navy Veteran and Mesa College student Nicholas William Case was selected by the National Geospatial Technology Center of Excellence (GeoTech Center) as a winner in the 2018 GeoTech Center’s Geospatial Technology Student Competition. This summer on June 4 to 6, the GeoTech Center will host Case and other selected students at the GeoEd ’18 Workshops to be held in Louisville, KY on the Southwest Campus of Jefferson Community and Technical College.

Natchel Bello Luna is the Lead Peer Navigator for Mesa’s CRUISE Program, and recently received the California State Assembly’s 80th District 2018 Woman of the Year award in March, and has continued on a path of success towards graduating from San Diego Mesa College on May 19, 2018. Ms. Bello is a Business major at Mesa with an emphasis in Marketing and holds a cumulative GPA of 3.54. She was awarded this honor due to her “exemplary leadership, service, and tenacity” in her community and school.
