San Diego Mesa College has announced their 2021 Giving Day campaign that kicked-off on Wednesday, May 12, with match offered by the San Diego Mesa College Foundation. The announcement - made during the 28th Annual Scholarships Awards Virtual Ceremony that anyone who donated by 12:00 a.m. midnight on Thursday, May 13 will be credited with a triple match to their donation – generated donations of approximately $100 per hour. Donations made through May 29th will be matched up to $10,000.

Foundation will host their 28th Annual Virtual Scholarship Awards Ceremony, and recognize the 2021 winners. 225 awards are being distributed to 148 students – many of whom received more than one award. The total amount being provided is over $130,000.

On Saturday, April 17, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Mesa College will host “Jumpstart Your Success”, a free virtual event for prospective students, their families and friends. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about Mesa College and the San Diego Promise FREE Tuition Program. Jumpstart will include virtual tours, interactive workshops, demonstrations, and presentations to showcase the diversity and depth of the programs and services that Mesa College offers. Today, Thursday, March 18, San Diego Mesa College will host the Inaugural Dr. Constance M. Carroll Humanities Institute Lecture Series, featuring Dr. Carroll. The Series will occur bi-annually, and will feature lectures on various Humanities topics by noted scholars. The inaugural lecture features Dr. Carroll who will be lecturing on Aeschylus’ Oresteia and Athenian Politics.

San Diego Mesa College has earned a Silver Designation as a Military Friendly School. Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 1,200 schools participated in the 2021-2022 survey with 747 earning the designation. As a fully accredited, comprehensive community college committed to access, success, and equity, Mesa College currently serves over 4,000 veterans and their families.
